Why Should We Use Full Synthetic oil for Car, Price, Advantage

Synthetic oil is a lubricant oil that is consisting of chemical compounds. These oils are artificially made up of chemically modified petroleum not from the crude oil. Full Synthetic Oil can be used but only if the car has specific needs. For example, take a Honda Civic. A spokeswoman says that use synthetic engine oil in civic’s engine for its low viscosity. That means it flows easily than conventional oil. This helps in increasing its fuel efficiency. Honda is not alone in this list. There is about 70 per cent of customers gets new cars models with either fully synthetic or blended oil.
Not only, Honda, but many other car models also use synthetic oil because of low viscosity. And not all of them are fully synthetic, some of them use blended oil. A mixture of synthetic and conventional oil is a blended oil, they are not providing all features of synthetic oil but it is also cheaper than that. Synthetic motor oil is thinner than normal conventional oil, but this doesn’t mean that it offers lesser protection of our vehicle. The primary function of synthetic oil is to reduce engine wear on cold starts and reduce oil degradation.
Type of Oil                                          Percentage of Oil Changes Performed
Semi-synthetic (or blend) oil                                       35
Conventional oil                                                          32
Full synthetic                                                               22
High-mileage oil                                                           6
Diesel                                                                            5

Synthetic Engine oil Advantage

  • They are designed to more effective.
  • It can resist oil breakdown, which makes it last longer than conventional oil.
  • Synthetic oil can stand in higher temperatures than conventional oils, which helps the engine to keep running longe.
  • It can flow in cold temperature, that reduces engine wear during frigid startups.

Is synthetic oil price is more expensive?

Depending on the brand, synthetic oil can cost twice or four times the cost of conventional oil. The process of synthesizing powerful cleaning and additive takes a lot of time and resources, that makes synthetic oil more expensive than conventional oil. Though synthetics generally hold up better for more miles, regular oil changes remain important, and you shouldn’t wait beyond the time interval recommended by the manufacturer. Using synthetic in these situations will increase your oil’s life and require fewer changes. That’s also a major benefit to the environment, as used motor oil is a major source of toxic waste in the water. Also, it is totally safe as long as you use the right blend and viscosity of synthetic oil.
